JOTalkCOP: COP28 Reflections from Jordanian Youth

This event supported 23 youth leaders from across Jordan to better grasp and raise awareness of the outcomes of COP28, increasing their capacity to advocate for climate action and share the delegation's knowledge in an interactive way to the community. Over the 1 day program, participants discussed the outcomes of COP28, breaking the siloes and barriers of the policy-focused spaces, and becoming accessible for a wider audience of West Asian youth.

  • COP28 Gender-Responsive Just Transitions and Climate Action Partnership.

  • COP28 UAE Declaration on Sustainable Agriculture, Resilient Food Systems, and Climate Action.

  • COP28 Joint Statement on Climate, Nature, and People.

  • Emphasis on integrating climate relief with recovery efforts and the importance of peace in climate action in Jordan.

  • Highlighted the need for gender-responsive policies and partnerships in climate action in Jordan.

  • Focused on sustainable agriculture practices and building resilient food systems in Jordan.
