This participatory workshop, co-hosted by GYBN, YOUNGO, and Y4N, launches an update of the Global Youth Position Statement on Nature-based Solutions (NbS), highlighting new findings from youth consultations worldwide. It aims to link youth voices and local leadership to the UNFCCC and UNCBD processes, fostering dialogue on resource mobilization, equity, and safeguards in the implementation of climate–nature solutions.

The workshop emphasizes capacity building across negotiation tracks to strengthen understanding of the nature-climate nexus, encouraging participants to co-develop recommendations that promote policy coherence and social justice. Through small group discussions and guided reflections, attendees will explore the potential of NbS as a leverage tool in COP negotiations, address barriers such as financing and inclusion gaps, and identify strategies to prevent greenwashing.

By promoting education, awareness, and cooperation, participants will exchange perspectives, share experiences, and co-create strategies to ensure that NbS advance both ecosystem integrity and human rights. Ultimately, the event seeks to inspire collaboration, strengthen youth advocacy, and position nature as central to equitable and effective climate action.
