In October 2023, Youth4Nature supported a series of activities under a newly launched project, She Shapes Nature, in Dar es Salaam and Pwani Region. A Y4N storytelling outreach project, She Shapes Nature focuses on collecting and amplifying the stories of local girls and women working in the nature-based economy, including circular waste management, seaweed farming, land-based farming and mangrove restoration.
Youth4Nature delegation of 6 youth leaders from across Afrika attend the African Protected Areas Congress (#APAC2022) from July 18-23 in Kigali, Rwanda. The first of its kind, the congress convenes Afrikan conservation minds in a unique format to engage on key issues surrounding the conservation of protected and conserved areas across the region under the theme, "Promoting a sustainable future for Africa."

As part of Africa Climate Week, we partnered with Youth in Landscapes to host Youth Voices for Nature and Climate; A path to restoration. Together, we brought forward youth leaders who are engaging with initiatives that are transforming their communities, creating opportunities for youth, and at the same time helping restore nature as well as acting for the climate within their various landscapes from Nigeria, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.
