We need them on board constructively as partners without constant opposition. At Youth4Nature, we feel that it is our duty to do something to improve the current situation. While international law has not given human rights protection to people being forced to migrate because of climate, it should be a priority for young people in the climate movement to make sure that every single community is included in the discussion, and that we are using the power of multiculturalism to create more useful and accessible solutions that can help those people not just to adapt to the climate change consequences, but also to co-lead on the solutions with other young people around the world.
As part of Africa Climate Week, we partnered with Youth in Landscapes to host Youth Voices for Nature and Climate; A path to restoration. Together, we brought forward youth leaders who are engaging with initiatives that are transforming their communities, creating opportunities for youth, and at the same time helping restore nature as well as acting for the climate within their various landscapes from Nigeria, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.

The truth is, for most of us in the Global South, we feel the drastic effects of the climate and nature crises, and are acting now because we do not have the luxury of time to wait for any other person to do it! The time is now, and we are doing all we can. Be encouraged to keep doing your part as well.
