Gustavo holds a degree in Public Policy Management from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a master's degree in Natural Resource Management from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). He has eight years of professional experience in coordinating conservation projects in the Amazon and the Cerrado, government relations, corporate social responsibility and environmental research. His areas of expertise include sustainable forest management, environmental conservation, climate policies, deforestation and sustainable agriculture. Gustavo is a fellow of Climate KIC Journey and mentor of Youth Climate Leaders (YCL). Currently, Gustavo leads CDP’s policy engagement work across Latin America countries, focused on high level relations with policymakers in Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Mexico.
