Chrysoula has a diverse academic and research background, spanning from Geology to Water Policy and systems engineering.  She is passionate about transdisciplinary research, sustainability as a complex nexus and the policy/research interface.  

Aiming at developing into an inspiring and compassionate leader, she is currently the Executive Director of the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM) at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). She has previously conducted her doctoral and post-doctoral research at the University of Bath (United Kingdom), specialising in systems thinking and holistic water resources management approaches.  

Chrysoula is also a volunteer Program Manager for the Wetskills Foundation and she has served as the Future Water Leaders’ Ambassador of the Amsterdam International Water Week (period 2017-2019). 

As a life-long learner, she is currently enrolled in an Executive Education program at the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), demystifying the concepts and notions of management science. Next to that, she is working on improving her Dutch, while she continues to be a dedicated bookworm.
