Sahana Kaur is a 19-year-old climate advocate and student at Yale University, where she plans to major in Ethics, Politics & Economics with certificates in Climate Science & Solutions and Energy Studies. Originally from Malaysia, she has been featured in Tatler's piece on "7 Young Malaysians Who Are Catalysts Of Change" and on national television for her work on climate action and human rights. Sahana is an Aspen Institute Future Leader and has spoken about climate action and youth activism to 5,000+ people at events by the UNFCCC, UNDP, UNICEF, and more. In 2021, she received the Diana Award and was part of the 30 Under 30 in Environmental Education.


Sahana has advised the U.S. government through the USAID Digital Youth Council and the UN High-Level Climate Champions through the UNFCCC Race to Zero's Policy, Advocacy & Engagement Working Group. She is the youngest member of the Advisory Group to the Greening Education Partnership, a UN-convened coalition of 70+ governments and 700+ organizations driving green education. Sahana is on the Steering Committee of the COP28 Children & Youth Pavilion, and previously represented Malaysia at the Italian government's pre-COP26 youth summit.
