Position Title: North America Regional  Director
Capacity: Part-time (25hr/week), Contract
Location: Remote, North America Region: applicants must have access to a personal computer and stable internet connectivity.
Term Length: This is a part-time position with guaranteed funding for 6 months. This role is part of our core operations and is thus central to our 2022-2023 (and beyond) funding strategy. Therefore, there are strong chances the position will extend for more than 6 months and we encourage candidates who are looking for long-term work opportunities (12+ months) as they are more likely to be considered for this position.
Ideal Start Date: March 1st, 2022 (or earlier)
Reports to: Full team (Managing Director, Coordination Team, Regional Directors and Global Ambassadors), especially North America Regional Team.
Wages: 14,300 USD for 6 months


Youth4Nature is a by-youth, for-youth, international non-profit organisation that educates, equips, and establishes youth as leaders on system-wide solutions for the nature and climate crises. Our solutions are rooted in traditional & scientific knowledge and are grounded in intergenerational justice.  We are one of the only global, youth-led organisation working at the climate-nature nexus, and we tangibly recognise youth as leaders, supporting their work and knowledge at all levels of decision making and action. We build connections, partnerships, and networks of care between and within local, regional, and global communities and activities, allowing us to deliver on-the-ground and globally. 

Today, Youth4Nature is supported by a dynamic team of youth from across the world, including 6 Regional Directors who successfully scaled-up our capacity in international outreach and project development over 2020 and 2021. After over a year of incredible work as the Regional Director for North America, Sarah Hanson has transitioned roles to be Y4N’s Finance & Operations Director. With this, we are excited to announce we are now looking to hire 1 Regional Director in the North America region!  

Y4N is committed to reducing barriers to meaningful youth employment for nature, climate, and people. The part-time Regional Director for North America will work collaboratively with the North America Global Ambassadors, USA country working group, and will join in the work of 5 other Regional Directors. They will work on ideating, developing, and implementing projects and/or events that align with Y4N's year-long strategy and are tailored to their geographic region. We invite youth from the North America region with proven experience, interest and/or understanding of international climate-nature nexus issues, demonstrated connection to North America (ideally, is based there), and passion for youth leadership to apply!
