We brought a nine-person global youth delegation to Dubai, UAE, for the UNFCCC COP28 in December 2023! From Bonn to Nairobi to New York City, we had our eyes set on Dubai as we build momentum towards COP28!

Some folks are reporting this as a “lost COP”, worrying that it will be taken over by the fossil fuel industry, and are instead looking ahead to COP30. We went there to remind them that COP28 is just as important, and every. moment. counts. What happens - or does not happen - at COP28 impacts our global systems, and these impacts are amplified for marginalised communities. W

e left COP27 with youth and Nature-based Solutions (NbS) referenced in the final text for the first time ever, and with a landmark victory for front-line communities with the Loss & Damage Fund. We are back this year to push the needle even further and dig into the details of implementation, accountability, and justice.

We are ready to make waves, weave connections and ideas, and witness the joy, hope & determination of changemakers like us. Find us:

  • 📣 Amplifying youth messages and solutions, and advocating for a just and equitable global climate and nature narrative by leveraging the substantial public attention that UNFCCC COPs attract.

  • 🦾 Strengthening youth capacity by equipping them with the skills and knowledge to meaningfully make decisions and take necessary actions for climate and nature locally, globally, and back again.

  • 🌱 Fostering inclusivity by nurturing our community with other youth and allies, creating a collaborative and resilient youth community striving towards a shared vision.

We are building pathways to address funding, knowledge, accreditation, and logistics barriers to equitable youth engagement in international keystone events, and extending the impact beyond our team of nine delegates into a global knowledge dissemination and empowerment!
